NCPC ScamShield Alert Quiz Giveaway

Terms and Conditions

The NCPC ScamShield Alert quiz giveaway (hereinafter referred to as the "Quiz Giveaway") is organised by the National Crime Prevention Council (hereinafter referred to as "NCPC"). These terms and conditions shall apply to all stages of the Giveaway.

The Quiz Giveaway is open to Singaporeans, PR and Singapore residents.

Contestants must be 18 years old and above as of the date of participation.

Employees of the NCPC, Tate Anzur, Tate Labs and their immediate family members are not eligible for this Giveaway.

Contestants must submit their answer by commenting on the Quiz Giveaway post on NCPC’s Facebook and Instagram, and DM NCPC’s Facebook or Instagram proof that they are subscribed to the ScamShield Alert WhatsApp channel to qualify.

Contestants must remain subscribed to the ScamShield Alert WhatsApp channel throughout the Giveaway period to qualify.

To qualify for the Grand Draw, contestants must enter at least 1 giveaway round with the correct answer

Contestants of the giveaway rounds can only win once. However, contestants will receive additional chances in the Grand Draw if they participate in more than one giveaway round.

All winners will be notified through Facebook or Instagram DM. In the event a winner does not respond to the notification within 3 working days, another winner will be chosen. NCPC’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entertained.

All vouchers awarded as prizes will be sent to contestants via email.

The prize is exclusively for the winner and is neither transferable nor exchangeable, and subject to the terms and conditions set by the issuing merchant/vendor. NCPC shall not be responsible or liable for any expired, lost, damaged, stolen, or unused vouchers once distributed to the winners. NCPC is under no obligation to replace, extend, or reinstate any voucher that has expired or has not been redeemed within its specified validity period.

The winner/s is required to show his/her identification documents such as NRIC and/or work permit to claim the prize.

The NCPC reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to terminate the Quiz Giveaway at any time without prior notice.

The NCPC reserves the right to disqualify anyone who, in its opinion, has tampered with or disrupted the entry process or operation of this Giveaway or violated the rules.

If the Quiz Giveaway cannot be run as planned for any reason, including technical problems, the NCPC reserves the right to cancel, curtail, modify or suspend the Quiz Giveaway. In the event the Quiz Giveaway is terminated early, winners will be selected from all eligible entries received at the time of termination.

The organisers will not make any payment towards any costs, including (without limitation), telecommunication, network, SMS and all other such charges and out-of-pocket expenses that may be incurred during and in connection with the Quiz Giveaway and no reimbursement may be sought from NCPC.

By entering the Quiz Giveaway, the entrant/s is conclusively deemed to have agreed to be bound by these Quiz Giveaway rules and terms and conditions as well as by any rules specific to such contests. This is an irrevocable condition of entry.

NCPC reserves the right to substitute, add to or alter any item on the list of prizes offered. All prizes won by the contestants shall not be transferable nor exchangeable for cash or otherwise.

By participating in the Giveaway, the contestant agrees to take part in any and all marketing, promotional, publicity exercise as may be conducted by NCPC arising or with respect to the Giveaway and the contestant irrevocably and unconditionally grants to NCPC all consents and waivers necessary for NCPC to record and use the contestant (s)’ appearance, likeness and/or particulars as the case may be, in any manner whatsoever and in any part of the world as NCPC shall in its sole discretion deem fit. The participant acknowledges that NCPC shall be at liberty to publish and otherwise use any recordings made by NCPC, including without limitation the information on the Contest submission, telephone call, telephone recordings, audio recordings, visual recordings and photographs (if any), for the promotion and publicity of the Giveaway. The participant hereby expressly waives any and all rights which the contestant may acquire or have under the provisions of the Copyright Act of the Republic of Singapore (and any subsequent enactment or amendments thereto) and any other moral rights which the participant(s) may have or be entitled under any such legislation now existing or in the future enacted in any part of the world.

The contestant shall not, without the prior written approval of NCPC, speak to the press or any other media nor give any interviews or comments relating to the Giveaway. The contestant shall not disclose any information whatsoever relating to NCPC to any other party.
