Growing from Strength to Strength: Delta League Concludes its 14th Edition

The Delta League Grand Finals was held on 23 December 2017 (Saturday) at the Jalan Besar Stadium. Jointly organized by the NCPC and Singapore Police Force (SPF), it is a bi-annual youth engagement programme which keeps the youths meaningfully occupied during the June and December school holidays through football. Mr Amrin Amin, Parliamentary Secretary for Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Health, graced the event as the Guest-of-Honour.

Largest Football Tournament for Youths in Singapore

Now in its 14th edition, Delta League has grown into the largest football competition for youths in Singapore, with 2,015 players from 117 teams competing in 367 matches for the championship last December. The total number of female participants was also the highest, with 278 girls competing in 16 teams.

Appreciation Day – Movie Screening

Delta League participants were rewarded with a movie “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” on 28 December 2017 for their involvement during the Community Day. It was a fun-filled afternoon for the players and their Police mentors to wind down after the month-long league.
