Delta League 2017 Futsal Finals

The 13th Edition of the Delta League Futsal Finals kicked off on 1 July 2017 (Saturday) at Our Tampines Hub. Mr Desmond Lee, Minister, Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister for Home Affairs and Second Minister for National Development officiated the event as Guest-of-Honour.

Organised by the NCPC and Singapore Police Force, this edition attracted 117 teams comprising 1,000 youths. Held twice a year during the June and December school holidays, Delta League aims to keep the students meaningfully occupied during the long school holidays.

A coaching clinic for the teams was conducted by the Geylang International Football Club in the lead-up to the matches. Besides playing football, the youths were put through other activities designed to enhance their crime prevention awareness and inculcate in them a sense of social responsibility, teamwork and discipline. The Delta League Community Day saw the youths playing the role of crime prevention ambassadors to spread crime prevention advisories to the public at various locations across Singapore. They also participated in a ball design competition to spread crime prevention messages.

Look out for the next edition of Delta League which will run during the December 2017 school holidays!
