Anti-Bicycle Theft Campaign

The Anti-Bicycle Theft Campaign, organized by the NCPC and SPF was held on 23 November 2014 at Chua Chu Kang Community Club. The Guest-of-Honour for the event was Mr Gan Kim Yong, Minister for Health and Member of Parliament for Choa Chu Kang GRC.

The event saw the launched of 3 key anti-bicycle theft initiatives - 'Lock Lah' bicycle racks, an online database system to track bicycle ownership and screen if a bicycle that had been registered is marked as missing or stolen and customized signages for bicycle bays.

A total of 120 'Lock Lah' bicycle racks were installed islandwide as part of a pilot test. Customized bicycle signages were also installed at the bicycle bays with 'Lock Lah' to educate the public on the correct way to berth and secure bicycles.
